1. Disconnect the battery and remove the air box per the tech article. 2. Remove the stock piping all the way up to the MAF. 3. Remove 3" O-ring gasket from the front of MAF. (shown below)
4. Remove the metal part of the toilet flange, so you are left with the ABS plastic adapter flange. Place the supplied gasket on top of the wide end of the flange so that you can mark the holes down with white-out. Drill these holes out so that the bolts will clear both the width of the hole and the height of the flange. (Results shown below)
5. Once the flange fits your filter acceptably, stick the gasket between the flange and the filter and tighten the bolts down.
6. Slip the female end of the 1/6 turn pipe into the smaller end of the flange. Notice how it fits nice and snugly? Slather some rubber cement into connection to ensure a permanent air-tight fit.
7. Slip the 3" dia. end of the pipe onto the bare MAF. Notice how this is also a nice, snug fit? Don't use rubber cement on this one. You don't want to damage the MAF sensor. Just push the pipe on until its tight and secure with the lip of the MAF housing. Be sure it's on there snug enough so that it won't fall out during driving. (Shown below).
8. Put the boost hose back together (tighten those clamps!) and reconnect the battery. All done! (Shown below).
