Now that we're back on more solid footing I'm looking for input as to what else "should" be done based on what I know its current needs are. Car is a '95TT 6 spd with ~150K miles Needs: 1. Power Steering pump (already purchased and sitting in the garage 2. Timing Belt replacement 3. Misc. Belts 4. Valve Stem Seals (smokes like a mother upon startup, so I assume this is what it is) 5. Misc. oil leak (not sure of its origin at this time) -Additionally, if I try and run the a/c it makes this horribly loud sound. As if a thousand caribou were simultaneously meeting their demise. Is that more than likely tied into above mentioned issues or a separate problem? It seems to function but it's just the god awful noise it makes. So, based on the things mentioned above, what other things should I also have done at the same time? My first guess is the water pump? But, beyond that, I've no idea if it should have additional work done. Input appreciated. Please be as detailed as possible if for no other reason as I'm pretty ignorant as to what may or may not be needed. Thanks. -Ok, now here's the wildcard. I'm also considering going with "STU's turbo" swap. I'm in CA and they seem to be my only real option (as I don't want to have the problem of dealing with the law or smog). Although more than reasonably priced, the extra cost to do this right now is the main holdup. I may be able to swing it, especially if it'd make sense to do during any of the other repairs listed above. I realize they are pretty much on the other side of the engine compartment so there may not be much benefit labor-wise but thought I'd ask. Ok, I think that's all for now. Any and all help/suggestions are REALLY appreciated. I'm considering going to Toymasters in Studio City for this or even CarAid in O.C. (even though it's considerably farther away).
