Do we have any TopTier Gasoline experts? Conceptually, it makes sense for
automotive manufactures to establish standards, for unleaded gasoline, that
minimizes deposits on fuel injectors, intake valves, and combustion
chambers. 

However, are the benefits from the additional detergent additives really
measurable and can I be reasonably assured that I am getting the additional
additives at the pump of Top Tier retailers? I am finding a lot of anecdotal
experiences but very little hard-data on the subject.

All of the gasoline (at least here) comes from the same pipeline, the only difference is additives.
