I have seen some aftermarket "high temperature" and "racing" seals. Anyone had luck with these? Or should I stick with oem Toyota seals? Lance, you say your issue cleared up after the ECU warmed up? I have had an issue for a couple of years that felt like a bad miss on part throttle when the car was cold. When the car was good and warm, it did not occur. I always assumed it was the coil packs ageing. I've had the ECU main connector off a hundred times and I've worked on it before to fix other pin contact issues. Sounds like I need to do the same for all the ignition outputs and probably the injector output for good measure. If so, how and where did you mount it? Any pics would be appreciated. I can't seem to make it work in the stock location, the fitting sticks out too far. I couldn't quite find other arrangements that worked. BTW, there are smaller fittings that appear to be a better match for the stock recirculation connection - I ordered a 19mm recirculation fitting off of eBay. HKS is hardcore whored and knocked off well now. Like a rolex in times square. Are you using a universal Valve and the 19mm resirc fitting for it, or a PN specifically for the MKIV? C-clip style HKS weld in flange or install kit PN application specific can be used. If using a factory side mount and want to keep it look into the HKS hard pipe kit. They make 3 different sizes of resircs.
