My O/D light has started flashing when I drive the car for just a few minutes. I don't notice any change in the way the car runs or shifts, but I also realize it is flashing for a reason. Any ideas on the cause and the cost to repair. I am trying to get this car back to its glory days after neglect by the previous owner, but the budget is tight. Thanks once again for all your help on previous issues. I've had my 93.5TT hard-top for 14 years now and I'd like to get it looking like it was in when I got it. The paintwork is shot as is the leather on the seats. (I spared no expense with mechanics). So I have a few questions; 1) Can you give me a ball-park on how much I should expect to pay for a factory-quality respray and new/refurbished seats. I knew it was going to cost a little more than Maaco. 2) Can you recommend anyone in Atlanta that you would trust to do it right (I have heard that I shouldn't give it to anyone that doesn't know their way around the Supra; rubber window seals etc.) 3) Will it be worth it financially if I were to sell the car shortly afterwards? I hate to see such a great car in such bad shape, but justifying the expense to the wife is another thing....... I had them do a work up on my 93 hardtop as well, and the price was fair. The guy doing the estimate already knew about the quarter glass coming out and the need for some Supra specific talents. Seemed like he'd worked on them before. He also offered to buy it... If you want to sell it straight off, I'm not sure it's worthwhile. You can easily spend 3K on high quality paintwork, and pretty much any TT hardtop will sell for 20K. If you want to go cheap and your passenger seat is still in decent shape you might consider buying a used passenger seat and swapping the leather skin or swapping the worn leather panels and getting a dye job. I wouldn't go cheap on paint though.
