Check the voltage post-to-post independent of the cable terminals. Then check for voltage drop across the battery-cable connection (leave the door open so you have a little drain). *Then* check fuses, etc. My guess is that you have a barrier of corrosion between the battery terminal and the associated cable terminal. A quick practical check is to jamb a sharp screwdriver in the crack between the battery terminal and the cable terminal. If everything comes alive shut it down and remove the both or just the offending terminal (depending on your maint & repair philosophy) and clean and lube it/both of them, put an anti-corrosion pad on it/each terminal and reassemble. Finally paid off my MKIV recently after a couple of refi's using it to pay off some other bills... lol! It's the only car I ever bought that appreciated in value after I bought it. My first Supra was an '82 (The Celics/Supra variety). It was black like my MKIV is. I to this day wonder where that car is and would love to have another. A number of years ago I bought an '85 at a decent price but it just wasn't the same (although I felt bad getting rid of that car, too). I'd love to find my '82 so i fully understand. Had an 86.5 MKIII and still love the styling but I don't miss that car near as much. So, Keith... many of us know how you feel. Best of luck on the sale. It's a beautiful car and someone is going to be very fortunate to own it. cheers, darrin On Feb 26, 2010, at 12:44 PM, andy fichter wrote: > I've been tempted to sell my '94 now several times but can't bring > myself to do it. Seventy-two definitely isn't too old to let a guy enjoy such a great road-burner! Terry Moore From bryant at cablelynx.com Sun Feb 28 15:14:47 2010 From: bryant at cablelynx.com (Larry M. And with 35K miles and the care it has had, it's like getting a new MKIV!! I hope your reserve is high and you get it and more! Mine has about 100K more miles than yours, doesn't look nearly as good, and gets flung around the road course every chance I get. I can't see ever selling it, even though I'm only 3 years younger than you. My son will have to pry my dead fingers off the steering wheel to put it in his garage some day! It's been the best car that I've ever owned and if it sells, I'm going to miss it. I turn 67 next week and I think that the time has come for us to be a one car family (2007 Infiniti G37-S). I've provided the link to eBay just in case anyone would like to view the information of follow the progress.
