Thank you all for your help in 2009. Also, I sincerely hope that America has seen the worst of the economic downturn and that your country recovers and prospers in 2010 - God knows you deserve it, even if just for carrying the can for the rest of the world in Iraq & Afghanistan. It has cost you too much... Hopefully we continue to get 94 out of the pumps up here. I am referring to translational movement, not rotational. According to the service manual, this can be caused by four problems: -worn steering system joints -worn suspension arm ball joints -worn sliding yoke -steering gear housing I did have the rack rebuilt a couple of years ago, and I can't remember if this problem happened before or after the rebuild. I checked the rack and suspension while someone wiggled the wheel back and forth, and I did not see any movement or play in the rack or suspension. Although that wasn't conclusive, at this point I am suspecting something in the steering column is loose or worn. Any ideas or similar experiences? Thanks, Brian '94 TT
