[mkiv] Crank shaft pully BOLT wont open.

No kidding about the IS300. I gave up trying to break my crank pulley bolt
off my IS300. I've tried bumping the starter several times with fully
charged battery, used a really long breaker bar with this tool all to no
avail. I've broken several tools/sockets and have called it quits for now.
Haven't tried putting a torch to it or using a heavy-duty impact gun, but
I'll probably just let the local dealer or mechanic do it.

Am I looking at it right and drawing the correct conclusion because it
appears to attach to the pulley with the 2 long bolts and allow you to
attach a breaker bar to the tool to hold the pulley still or pin it
down while wrenching on the pulley bolt with another breaker bar?

I've done the "bump the key" method on several occasions over the years
between 7M and 2JZ timing belt intervals and front seal replacements but
this tool looks really useful because re-torquing an automatic's
crank pulley bolt isn't always easy.

I've heard nightmares about trying to break free the IS300's 2JZ-GE crank
pulley bolt to the point that the IS300's starter apparently can't make
enough torque to do the "bump the key" method and I've seen a buddy's 7M
shear the mount/head off several breaker bars and split several sockets
trying to break the crank pulley bolt loose too...

OK.  I'l bite.

How does this give you an advantage over the 'bump' method?
