In MD you'll have to drive to an inspection station every 2 years for an OBD-2 scan. No codes, no worries. I always put my stock DP back on beforehand to be safe. The last time I went the operator came out with a mirror and visually checked for cats but that was the first time I'd ever seen or heard of that in MD. It may be because the station I went to is in an area with a lot of modded imports running around.
Good luck with the move!
