If u r talking about the one on the outside of the door then there is a screw ( better be prepared
as it is tight like hell by Toyota ) that most be removed first at the end of the door away from the
hinge side. It hold the end of the weather stripping. After you remove the screw you just pull the
strip upward and it will come... no need to remove the clips as they will come out with the strip.

Subject: [mkiv] Driver door window removal
I'm replacing the window regulator as my cable wore and eventually
snapped. The window and everything is buried deep down inside the
door and I'm following the FSM to remove everything to get it out.
I've run into a slight problem....
I can't figure out how to remove the weather stripping at the top of
the door (the piece that "rubs" against the window as it goes up and
down) so as to create enough clearance to get the glass and the
attached parts out. The FSM states there are 6 clips at the top of
the door that need to come off to release it. I can see them (they
are white). I just can't figure out how to get them off. I'm afraid
I'll break them and would appreciate any info/tips to finish this
job. Most importantly..
How do i remove those white clips without snapping them?
Thanks!

p.s. is it absolutely necessary to remove the outside door handle as
indicated?
