Unless you consider a socket wrench and a cheater bar a trick, there's no
trick. In fact I've never removed the battery to do this, and certainly not
the radiator. Just get yourself a pipe about 4' long and of the appropriate
diameter to fit over your socket wrench or breaker bar. That allows you to
easily move the tensioner and fit the belt with the other hand. A second
person working the pipe while you work the belt also would make it easier
but is by no means necessary.
