I generally agree.
I also subscribe to the notion that I can get great performance out of my
MKIV with application of some $$. However, ugly is forever.

When I first saw the car, it wasn't very appealing to me and I admit
I was a bit disappointed. I've seen numerous pics of the car in
different colors and some look better than others. I've softened a
bit on my feelings about its looks now (didn't hurt to read some of
the performance specs).

I'm generally overly critical on how cars look as I've appreciated
the performance numbers of cars such as the Vette and the NSX but the
styling has always turned me off. Both of those cars always seemed to
me like the designers started at the front and got about 80% of the
way finished and then didn't know how to finish it at the rear. Kind
of like a movie or book with a horrible ending.

Perhaps it's unfair but I may be comparing it to the design of our
cars and how I feel that the design is almost perfect. In contrast, I
feel the ass end of the MKIV looks great (especially when compared to
any of the 3 cars listed above). There are always gonna be cars that
outperform ours (especially considering its age) but the vast
majority of them look for shite compared to the Supra.
